Buying in Contadero

Apartments for sale in Contadero range from compact units to larger ones in newer low-rise buildings, most of them on the wooded streets between the Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción and the slope rising toward the Desierto de los Leones. For a buyer, this is the entry point into an old Cuajimalpa town at a price below the towers around it: below the apartment blocks of Bosques de las Lomas and the corporate buildings of Santa Fe Cuajimalpa, and above the town center of Cuajimalpa.

What to consider before buying

Buildings here span several eras, from older walk-ups near the church to recent construction up the hill, so the age and finish of a building matter more than a single colonia-wide description would suggest. Because Contadero sits minutes from the offices of Santa Fe Cuajimalpa yet stays below their prices, it draws buyers who work there but want a smaller building. For a lower entry price in the same borough, the Cuajimalpa center sits downhill. To weigh renting first, see apartments for rent in Contadero.
