Buying an apartment in Gustavo A. Madero means picking between two very different corridors. Lindavista Norte has the borough's most established apartment buildings, set among houses a short walk from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, and priced above the rest of the borough. On the opposite side, Vallejo, along the Azcapotzalco border, has newer apartment construction going up next to older factory blocks, at a lower entry point. Lindavista Sur and the blocks around Indios Verdes round out the middle ground, within easy reach of three Metro lines. Buyers who want a bigger pool of apartment buildings near downtown can also check Cuauhtémoc, just south of the border.

What to consider before buying

Apartment prices are highest in Lindavista Norte and lowest around the Vallejo corridor and Industrial, where older buildings sit beside new construction. Transit is a strong selling point across the borough: Metro Línea 3 runs through Indios Verdes and Deportivo 18 de Marzo, Línea 5 stops at the Instituto del Petróleo, and Metrobús Línea 1 terminates at Indios Verdes, the main transfer point for commuters heading downtown. For a similar apartment-heavy corridor just across the western edge, Azcapotzalco is worth comparing.
