Living in Miguel Hidalgo

For renters focused on apartments, Miguel Hidalgo's action concentrates in the Polanco corridor. Nuevo Polanco stacks the newest towers, many with pools, gyms and coworking floors, around Antara and Plaza Carso. Verónica Anzures and Anáhuac, both a short walk from Polanco's restaurants, rent for less while keeping the same commute. Toward the west, the Lomas corridor has apartments of its own: Lomas de Bezares and Bosque de las Lomas mix mid-rise buildings into the hillside streets, a quieter option than the Polanco towers. South, near the border, Escandón offers walkable apartment buildings a few streets from the next borough.

What to consider before renting

Rent for an apartment drops the farther you move from Polanco itself, and both Verónica Anzures and Anáhuac undercut it while keeping the same walk to Masaryk's restaurants. Metro Line 7 stops at Auditorio and Constituyentes serve the Polanco corridor directly, cutting out the need for a car that the Lomas side still requires. Tenants priced out of Polanco can also look east to Cuauhtémoc, where Roma Norte and Condesa offer that same walkable apartment living for less.
