Living in Bosque de las Lomas

Apartments are the smaller share of what comes up for rent in Bosque de las Lomas: on this Miguel Hidalgo side houses outnumber them, the opposite of the Cuajimalpa side of Bosques de las Lomas, where tower living is the norm. The buildings that do exist gather along Paseo de los Ahuehuetes Norte and near the colonia's entrances. Working on Paseo de la Reforma means a short drive east through Lomas de Chapultepec, and the Paseo de los Tamarindos offices are one bridge away.

What to consider before renting

Few apartments are published at any one time, so it pays to search by area rather than a single street: Lomas de Bezares, just south on the way down to Constituyentes, adds more buildings to the route. Between buildings, ask the year: some date from the colonia's first decades, others from phases recently delivered on Paseo de los Ahuehuetes Norte, and installations and common areas differ sharply between the two. Position along the avenue matters as much as the unit: buildings near the colonia's entrances shorten every daily trip, while those deeper in trade a few extra minutes out for quieter stretches.
