Where you buy an apartment in CDMX decides what kind of building you get. The western corridor is the newest: Santa Fe and Nuevo Polanco are towers with concierge, gym and several parking levels. The central grid of Del Valle and Nápoles leans mid century, with bigger rooms and lower buildings. Around the Bosque de Chapultepec, Polanco mixes both and sits at the top of the range.

What to consider before buying

Parking is the detail that quietly decides value in the central colonias: one space, two, or none at all changes both daily life and who will want the apartment later. Ask how the building handles water storage and whether it has a generator, since service varies from one part of the city to another. If the towers are what appeal to you and the west is out of reach, the same vertical living is more attainable in Iztacalco or Azcapotzalco.
