This property dates back to the time of Hernán Cortés, the conqueror, who as an act of reward and gratitude donated the location to Hernán Martín in the year 1568.

En el siglo XIX, época del Presidente Benito Juárez, fue la casa de Ignacio Manuel Altamirano, quién promulgó la Educación gratuita en la República Mexicana. En la época del porfiriato del siglo XIX, Manuel Yánez también fue inquilino de la propiedad, seguramente ya empezando parte del proyecto.
En el siglo XX la casa es acondicionada y toma como inquilino al
Banco de México quien por 45 años consecutivos presume, goza de la propiedad y disfruta de la estancia en la que tantos años tuvo su asentamiento.
Hoy, año 2024, la propiedad rehabilitada, se encuentra en condiciones excelentes, tanto en su renovación hidráulica, eléctrica, la pintura de los muros y plafones, pisos y puertas renovadas, a los detalles mínimos se le ha proporcionado el máximo esmero y cuidado.
