The use of exposed concrete provides a robust and monolithic base, while the large floor-to-ceiling glass surfaces break that solidity, adding transparency and reflecting the surrounding landscape.
The design plays with light and shadow. Volumes that protrude cast dramatic shadows, while a wooden wall in wainscoting adds warmth and texture, creating a dialogue between the natural and the built. The house subtly integrates into its terrain, with a main access that seems to float, reinforcing the feeling of weightlessness that the name "Evania" suggests.
