Living in Juárez

Juárez sits right on Paseo de la Reforma, wrapped around the Ángel de la Independencia and the Glorieta de las Cibeles, with streets named after European cities: Génova, Hamburgo, Berlín, Praga. Its Porfirian mansions now house apartments, boutique hotels, and offices, and the Zona Rosa gives it a nightlife and a Korean quarter ("Pequeño Seúl") you won't find in quieter neighborhoods nearby. Rentals here are mostly apartments, often furnished, and houses are rare. If you want the leafy, park-centered feel instead, properties for rent in Condesa are a short walk southwest.

What to consider before renting

Most of Juárez falls under metered parking (parquímetro), and off-street spots are scarce. The Zona Rosa corridor runs late most nights. If you're noise-sensitive, ask which street the unit faces. Many buildings are older, so check the construction year and the state of the building. For a calmer, more residential feel with a similar central location, compare with apartments for rent in Roma Norte, just across Avenida Chapultepec.
