Living in Progreso

Life in Progreso stretches along the coast, with a different experience in the center than in the areas to the west and east. Progreso was founded as a deep-water port in 1871 and still works as one: the malecón, the municipal market, and the pier sit inside a town whose history and everyday activity remain closely tied to the port. What to consider before renting

The coast runs along one road, calle 29, linking Yucalpetén to Chicxulub Puerto. Reaching Mérida for work or errands is a direct drive on the free highway, without a metro or rapid bus line.
