Living in Naucalpan

Naucalpan is a house municipality, and the rental houses sit in the zones built for them. Houses for rent in Ciudad Satélite come with front lawns and a garage on the curving circuitos Pani's plan laid out, named after professions from Novelistas to Ingenieros. Houses for rent in Lomas Hipódromo ring the Club de Golf Chapultepec on Avenida del Conscripto, and houses for rent in Lomas de Tecamachalco sit under old trees on the Mexico City line.

What to consider before renting

A house here means driving, so count the cars before the bedrooms: the Satélite circuitos were drawn for cars in 1957, with wide ovals instead of traffic lights, and street parking runs out fast on the narrower loops. Garden upkeep and a cistern usually fall to whoever rents, and on the western slope the cistern earns its keep. Schools shape the search as much as the house does, which is why families cluster near the golf clubs and along Boulevard Manuel Ávila Camacho. For a bigger garden further from the Periférico, look north to Atizapán de Zaragoza.
