Living in Cuajimalpa de Morelos

Cuajimalpa de Morelos climbs the wooded western edge of Mexico City, and each of its zones rents differently. To the north, the Santa Fe corridor around properties for rent in Santa Fe Cuajimalpa and Bosques de las Lomas is the borough's office hub, lined with corporate towers and apartment buildings built for people who want to walk to work. Toward the center, gated streets like Lomas del Chamizal and Lomas de Vista Hermosa sit among ravines and pine forest near the Club de Golf Bosques. To the south and west, the original pueblo of Contadero and Cuajimalpa's own town center offer a quieter, more affordable way into the borough.

What to consider before renting

Cuajimalpa has no Metro line, so daily life runs on cars and private shuttles, especially for the commute into the Santa Fe towers; the Carretera México-Toluca is the borough's main regional artery. Rents climb fastest near the Santa Fe corridor and ease toward the pueblos, where El Yaqui sits right at the corporate border with friendlier pricing. For a similar gated, wooded Lomas feel, the Bosque de las Lomas side of Miguel Hidalgo, just northeast, is worth a look.
