Living in Lomas Altas

Lomas Altas is one of the smallest, most exclusive corners of the Lomas corridor, wedged between Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida Constituyentes on the edge of the Bosque de Chapultepec's second and third sections. Streets inside stay quiet and residential, lined with mansions and a few luxury towers rather than a walkable strip of shops or cafés, so daily errands usually mean stepping into a neighboring colonia. There's no Metro or Metrobús stop inside the colonia; the closest is Constituyentes (Línea 7), reached by car along Avenida Constituyentes. Renters who want more choice at a comparable price typically look next door in Lomas de Chapultepec, the corridor's anchor colonia.

What to consider before renting

The pool of apartments and houses for rent in Lomas Altas is thin at any given moment, so a search here can turn up only a handful of listings. Anyone who wants a wider search, or a lower starting price within the same corridor, does better heading toward Bosque de las Lomas, further west toward Cuajimalpa, where both houses and apartments turn up for rent more often. Traffic along Constituyentes and Reforma builds up at peak hours, worth planning around if a car is part of the daily routine.
