Living in Bosque de las Lomas

Bosque de las Lomas is the Miguel Hidalgo half of the wider Bosques de las Lomas area, separated from the Cuajimalpa side by a deep wooded ravine that the Bosque de la Reforma bridge crosses high above the treetops. This is the quieter, more house-centered side: most of what comes up for rent are family homes on curving streets named after trees, while apartment buildings cluster along Paseo de los Ahuehuetes Norte. A good share of the houses are offered furnished. To the east it borders Lomas de Chapultepec, which keeps Paseo de la Reforma within a short drive.

What to consider before renting

Daily life here runs on a car: there is no Metro on this side of the ravine, and buses stay on the spine of Paseo de los Ahuehuetes Norte instead of entering the residential loops, so check the walk from door to avenue. Time the commute in both directions too: east through the exits toward Paseo de la Reforma, and across the bridge toward the Paseo de los Tamarindos offices in Cuajimalpa. Because lots drop toward the ravine, many houses stack rooms below street level, so ask which floors get natural light.
