Living in Lomas del Chamizal

Renting an apartment in Lomas del Chamizal usually means one of the towers along Avenida Secretaría de Marina, many of them recent, or a smaller building on the streets that drop toward the barranca La Diferencia (ravine). Ravine-facing units get greenery and morning fog; avenue-facing ones get a faster exit toward Avenida Stim. People who work around the Paseo de los Tamarindos corridor tend to shortlist this colonia together with Bosques de las Lomas itself and with Santa Fe Cuajimalpa, which puts you inside the office district rather than beside it.

What to consider before renting

Time your visit for the evening rush: everything funnels onto Avenida Stim or Secretaría de Marina, and how close your building sits to that flow shapes daily life more than the floor plan does. Ask which way the unit faces; the barranca side is the quiet one. If you want to shorten the drive into the office district, look south toward Lomas de Vista Hermosa. And if you are weighing renting against buying, the same buildings appear among the apartments for sale in Lomas del Chamizal.
