Dzilam is a very quiet place with natural beauty and beautiful beaches, featuring attractions such as the water eyes, the cenote Elepetén, the lagoon, and "Las Bocas" where the river and the sea meet. Near this port, to the east, is the Yalkubul lighthouse, one of the most prominent parts of the coastline. It is also recommended to visit the "Laguna Feliz" located 3 km from the port and the water eye X-Buyhá near the cenote Elepetén.

It is located 107 km from the city of Mérida, and 79 km to the east of Progreso. There are two ways to get there; by the coast arriving at Puerto Progreso, and then transferring to Telchac Puerto, passing through other ports such as San Crisanto, Chabihau, and Santa Clara. The other way is by the road that leads to the municipality of Tizimín, passing through the bypasses of Motul and Suma de Hidalgo, then taking the detour to Cansahcab and continuing towards Dzidzantun, Dzilam González, and finally the port of Dzilam de Bravo.

Area 22,400 m2Dzilam es un lugar muy tranquilo de bellezas naturales y hermosas playas, con atractivos como los ojos de agua, el cenote Elepetén, la laguna, y "Las Bocas" donde el rio y el mar se unen. Cerca de este puerto, hacia el oriente, se encuentra el faro de Yalkubul, una de las partes más salientes del litoral. También se recomienda visitar la "Laguna Feliz" distante 3 km. del puerto y el ojo de agua X-Buyhá cercano al cenote Elepetén.

Está ubicado a 107 km. de la ciudad de Mérida, y a 79 km. al oriente de Progreso. Existen dos maneras de llegar; por la costa llegando a Puerto Progreso, para después trasladarse a Telchac Puerto, pasando por otros puertos como son San Crisanto, Chabihau y Santa Clara. La otra es por la carretera que lleva al municipio de Tizimín, pasando por los libramientos de Motul y suma de hidalgo para después tomar el desvío a Cansahcab y continuar hacia Dzidzantun, Dzilam González y por último el puerto de Dzilam de Bravo.
