Casa La Esperanza | Airy Interiors, Open Heart

Open and refreshing, with deeply connected spaces, Casa La Esperanza is designed to erase the boundaries between interior and exterior. It is a house where sometimes you don't know if you are inside or outside — and that was completely intentional.

Remodeled by Workshop Arquitectos, the project respects the original essence of the property while introducing a contemporary proposal focused on natural light, cross ventilation, and spatial continuity.

From the entrance, a front garden with abundant vegetation sets the tone. The lot of 6 x 35 meters, slightly irregular — starting at 6 meters and closing at 5.2 — allows for a visual perspective that traverses the entire house from the access to the back, generating an immediate sense of spaciousness and depth.

The facade retains its original masonry, integrating a discreet garage that respects the historical identity. Upon entering, accents of green chukum begin to appear on strategic walls, bringing freshness and character.

The living room naturally connects with the staircase leading to the upper level, always maintaining open circulation. The kitchen continues the architectural language with an island covered in pasta flooring, and details where the architects used the same material as a decorative element to unify spaces and reinforce the personality of the design.

Towards the back, the access opens to the terrace and patio, where the landscape takes center stage. Here, the original well was preserved as a historical vestige, accompanied by the old tinaco reinterpreted as a decorative piece, integrating memory and contemporary design.

On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms, each with its own walk-in closet, designed for privacy, constant ventilation, and natural light.

Abierta y refrescante, con espacios profundamente conectados, Casa La Esperanza está diseñada para borrar los límites entre interior y exterior. Es una casa donde a veces no sabes si estás adentro o afuera — y eso fue completamente intencional.

Remodelada por Workshop Arquitectos, el proyecto respeta la esencia original de la propiedad mientras introduce una propuesta contemporánea enfocada en luz natural, ventilación cruzada y continuidad espacial.

Desde la entrada, un jardín frontal con abundante vegetación marca el tono. El lote de 6 x 35 metros, ligeramente irregular — iniciando en 6 metros y cerrando en 5.2 — permite una perspectiva visual que atraviesa la casa completa desde el acceso hasta el fondo, generando una sensación inmediata de amplitud y profundidad.

La fachada conserva su mampostería original, integrando un garage discreto que respeta la identidad histórica. Al entrar, comienzan a aparecer acentos de chukum verde en muros estratégicos, aportando frescura y carácter.

La sala se conecta naturalmente con la escalera que conduce al nivel superior, manteniendo siempre la circulación abierta. La cocina continúa el lenguaje arquitectónico con una isla revestida en piso de pasta, y detalles donde los arquitectos utilizaron el mismo material como elemento decorativo para unificar espacios y reforzar la personalidad del diseño.

Hacia el fondo, el acceso se abre a la terraza y al patio, donde el paisaje toma protagonismo. Aquí se preservó el pozo original como vestigio histórico, acompañado del antiguo tinaco reinterpretado como pieza decorativa, integrando memoria y diseño contemporáneo.


En planta alta se encuentran dos habitaciones, cada una con su propio closet vestidor, pensadas para privacidad, ventilación constante y luz natural.
