Description
Casablanca Living: A Historic Retreat in the Heart of Mérida. Inspired by the 1942 film Casablanca Living, our house, built around 1890, retains its original structure, with pasta tile floors and 3-meter-high doors. The tiles were imported from France.
Located in the Historic Center of Mérida, just a few minutes' walk from the market and the nightlife, this house has been our home for over 14 years.
Our relationship with our neighbors has created a peaceful and safe environment, perfect for living or entertaining. For almost 7 years, we have carefully considered every detail to create a warm and inviting space, inspired by the South of France and Tuscany. With ceilings up to 7 meters high and breathtaking views, this house is a truly special place. The furnishings are mostly unique, including a chest approximately 300 years old and a dining table about 200 years old, as well as the hand-carved columns in the outdoor cabana. All finishes and appliances are high-quality, and every aspect of the house has been meticulously maintained. The garden is a true paradise, with 10 fruit trees and nearly 100 varieties of plants, creating an atmosphere full of life and privacy.
This property was originally designed as a personal retreat and later converted into a luxury rental home, boasting over 100 five-star reviews on Vrbo and Airbnb.
