Living in Escandón

Escandón is the quieter, more residential neighbor sitting right against Condesa, split from it by Eje 4 Sur Benjamín Franklin. Cross that avenue and the mood shifts: fewer bars, more low-rise apartment buildings and everyday shops. Metro Patriotismo (Línea 9) has its own exit inside Escandón on Benjamín Franklin, and Metrobús Línea 2 runs along Av. Patriotismo with its own "Escandón" and "Patriotismo" stops. What to consider before renting

Houses for rent are scarce here, so most results will be apartments; that holds true right up to the Condesa border too. Anyone set on a house should also check San Pedro de los Pinos, a more affordable option with its own Metro Línea 7 station. Car access runs through Viaducto Miguel Alemán or Av. Patriotismo; street parking is common but not guaranteed, so ask each building whether a spot comes with the unit.
