Living in Santa Fe

The tower is effectively your neighbourhood here. Buildings are big and the point of them is that the gym, the pool, the coworking and often a small shop are downstairs, so you can go days without taking the car out, which counts for a lot when the next block sits across a ravine or a six-lane avenue. Furnished units are common, since much of what gets rented goes to people posted here for a couple of years. Santa Fe Cuajimalpa and Santa Fe Centro Ciudad put you in the middle of the offices, Lomas de Santa Fe puts Parque La Mexicana and the Ibero at your door, and ZEDEC Santa Fe is where rents land lowest.

What to consider before renting

Rents climb steeply toward Santa Fe La Loma, the gated end of the zone, and ease off as you move toward the older colonias. Ask which way the apartment faces: units over Av. Vasco de Quiroga or the México-Toluca highway get constant traffic noise, while the inner streets are genuinely quiet. Check how far the building sits from the El Insurgente station and from Parque La Mexicana, because those two are the only errands most people here do on foot. For lower rents on the Cuajimalpa side, look at Contadero.
