Living in Querétaro

The northwest corridor concentrates a large share of apartment rentals here: Juriquilla and Juriquilla Santa Fe form the biggest concentration, built around the UNAM campus and the corporate parks nearby. Furnished units are common there, since a lot of tenants are on short academic or corporate contracts rather than settling in long-term. Centro Sur and Milenio III cluster along Boulevard Bernardo Quintana instead, with towers built around The Hub's coworking and dining, while Residencial el Refugio, further from the corridor, mixes in more unfurnished, longer-term rentals.

What to consider before renting

Anyone commuting daily to the UNAM campus or the corporate parks is better off staying in this corridor than commuting in from Milenio III or Residencial el Refugio, which sit closer to the corporate corridor to the south instead. Buildings in Juriquilla and Juriquilla Santa Fe skew newer, so ask for the construction year and whether the amenities are already up and running before signing. For a unit along Bernardo Quintana in Centro Sur, ask which way it faces: street-facing units get more traffic noise.
