Buying in Monterrey

Vertical Monterrey concentrates downtown and along the western hillside. Centro and Monterrey Centro stack their floors around the Macroplaza, Barrio Antiguo and the Alameda Mariano Escobedo, with Línea 2 ending a few blocks away at General Zaragoza. A short drive west, Obispado mixes casonas (the big houses of the early twentieth century) with towers such as Torres Obispado on Calle Hidalgo. Immediately north of it, Chepevera keeps casonas of its own and a strip of clinics and offices, and farther southwest Santa María gathers tall buildings along Av. Aarón Sáenz Garza.

What to consider before buying

Towers on the western hillside behave differently from downtown floors. Colinas de San Jerónimo stacks its buildings on the boulevards climbing the slope, reached by Blvd. Rogelio Cantú Gómez, with upper floors looking back over the valley and parking in place of a station. Higher up, Residencial Dinastía is entered from Av. Puerta del Sol and Blvd. Raúl Rangel Frías, connecting north to Av. Paseo de los Leones. In the south, Sonoma Residencial gathers five towers on Camino al Mirador. For the San Pedro side of the Valle Oriente office corridor, the search continues in San Pedro Garza García.
