Hence the first interpretation of its name, PUNTA-CERO, and the zero (0) in a Cartesian plane represents the origin. On the other hand, its proximity to the old Foundry of Iron and Steel, a historical symbol of Monterrey, gives meaning to a second interpretation of the name, PUNTA-ACERO or PUNTA of ACERO, in relation to its shape and materials used in its structure and facade.
In this way, Puntacero emerges as a new meeting space that pays tribute to the city, its people, and its history.

Project Description.
Puntacero is a mixed-use development consisting of 4 commercial levels, 9 office levels, 13 levels of apartments, and a hotel with 179 rooms. It is located in one of the most strategic points of the city, surrounded by an important mix of corporations, convention centers, and mass events, recreational parks, tourist walks, and historical areas.

The complex was created to host a wide range of activities of interest for locals and visitors, with options for entertainment, accommodation for those visiting the city for business or pleasure, workspaces, and a residential place with high added value. Puntacero was designed by the renowned Monterrey architect Bernardo Hinojosa, whose work includes commercial, urban, office, educational, industrial, and residential architecture.

La identidad de Puntacero nace de distintas perspectivas. Su terreno, se asemeja a un vector (o punta) que se ubica en
el primer cuadro de la ciudad, donde ésta se fundó. De ahí la primera interpretación de su nombre, PUNTA-CERO, y el
cero (0) en un plano cartesiano representa el origen. Por otro lado, su cercanía a la antigua Fundidora de Fierro y
Acero, símbolo histórico de Monterrey, da sentido a una segunda interpretación del nombre, PUNTA-ACERO o PUNTA
de ACERO, esto en relación a su forma y materiales empleados en su estructura y fachada.
De esta manera, Puntacero emerge como un nuevo espacio de encuentro que
rinde homenaje a la ciudad, a su gente y su historia.

departamentos y un hotel con 179 habitaciones. Se encuentra en uno de los puntos más estratégicos de la ciudad, rodeado de una mezcla importante de corporativos, centros de convenciones y eventos masivos, parques recreativos, paseos turísticos y zonas históricas.

El complejo fue creado para albergar una amplia gama de actividades de interés para locales y visitantes, con opciones de entretenimiento, de estancia para quienes visitan la ciudad por negocios o placer, espacios para trabajar y un lugar de residencia con alta plusvalía. Puntacero fue diseñado por el reconocido arquitecto regiomontano
Bernardo Hinojosa, cuya obra incluye arquitectura comercial, urbana, de oficinas, educativa, industrial y residencial.
